Description
Saggars and crucibles belong to container kiln furniture, which can be used to load shaped products and powdery amorphous materials. When used to load shaped products, it mainly plays the role of protecting products from contamination, supporting or shaping the products, such as glost firing of high quality tableware ceramics, shaping of bone china products, loading of electronic ceramics, etc.; when used to hold powder materials during firing, the powder can be decomposed, or chemically reacted, or melted, such as calcination of lithium battery powder, calcination of high-purity hydroxide, calcination of rare earth, sample fusing of gold prospecting, sample fusing of precision alloy casting, etc. The main materials of the saggars & crucibles are cordierite-mullite, mullite, corundum-mullite, alumina, fused silica or a composite of these materials. The forming methods mainly include semi-dry pressing, roller pressing, injection moulding and casting. According to the classification rules of Trend products, saggars and crucibles are further divided into small categories such as round saggars, square saggars, special saggars, round crucibles and special crucibles.
